Brett Sterling

Brett Stewart Sterling (born April 24, 1984) is an American professional ice hockey left winger. He is currently contracted by EC Red Bull Salzburg〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Eliteprospects.com – transaction for Brett Sterling )〕 in the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL).
Sterling was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 5th round (145th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. In his first professional season he won the Willie Marshall Award as the AHL's leading goal scorer, the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award as rookie of the year. In addition, he was named to the All-Rookie Team and AHL First All-Star Team.
==Early life==
Sterling, who is Jewish, was born in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Pasadena, California, having been introduced to the sport by an uncle who bought Sterling his first pair of skates at age two. His GPA in high school was 4.2.〔()〕
